Dave Wood
Managing Director and Gastonaut
Dave started the business in 1993 and is our Managing Director. He is as passionate about the business today as he was back then and more knowledgeable ‘Foodie’ you could not hope to meet. His favourite chef is Nathan Outlaw and his favourite food is Fish, which he came to love after working out in Scandinavia as a young chef. However Dave also enjoys all the new innovations in the culinary world and is a font of all knowledge with both old classics and new trends. Everyone has their cross to bear and Dave is no different, supporting Millwall FC over the years, however his other passion of Travel allows him to escape every now and then.

His other big passion is wine and has been doing his WSET exams in his spare time. His favourite food is Greek, loves cooking and also still dines out on the fact that his Chicken Sagnaki Pie won a gold medal at the British Pie of the year awards…

Charities
We recognise that we can make a positive difference in the communities where we live and work, so we pride ourselves on giving back through our charity and school partnerships. Its not just a good thing to do, it’s the right thing to do. A few of the things that we are most proud of include…
Sharing Food
We run a breakfast club at a local school to help students get their day off to a nutritious start. We also make regular donations to local food banks.
Investing In
We’ve got the highest number of students at Crawley College for the second year running and are avid believers in our staff gaining industry standard qualifications. We love the fact that many of our senior managers have worked their way up through the business and have gained National qualifications in the process.
Raising A Sweat
Our team “Marathon Man” has run the London Marathon six times, raising in excess of £9,000 for the Royal Institute for the Blind. Two of our colleagues have also scaled Kilimanjaro for the RNIB raising a lot of money in the process.
Sporting Heroes
On the sporting theme, we sponsor a local football team and have also sponsored a local school to send their students to Seville to play football. We also support the Right to Play Charity that educates and empowers youth through Sports and games .
