Our main aim relating to product sourcing is as follows- UK Locally, Nationally, Out Door Reared, Farm Assured ( Red Tractor) then finally Northern Ireland or European dependant upon product type/ shelf life.
Dairy Produce
Coombe Farm Organic, a natural partnership between the Somerset Countryside, their herd of organic dairy cows and environmentally-friendly, energy efficient, sustainable approach to farming and one of the most modern organic dairy facilities in the UK.
Fruit and Vegetables
Langridge Organic Products has its roots in the early 80’s at Langridge Farm amidst the rolling hills in the heart of Devon, providing a perfect environment to produce organic food. The soil has been enriched by a sound ecosystem, comprising of a long rotation of crops and fertility- building leys. The food from this system is renowned for its superb flavor. Langridge now has growers throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world all working to the original uncompromising standard. From the farms in Devon, where they find their roots, to the apple growers of the Kent they offer a comprehensive service to their growers which allows them to concentrate on what they do best, grow fantastic tasting high quality organic produce.
Meat and Poultry
CMB Foods is a local family butchers in Lingfield, Surrey.
LAMB - Local and Free- Range from Trigger Farm in Rusper, West Sussex. They have carefully selected this farm because it is annually consistent, affordable and a very tasty product.
CHICKEN - Local and Free- Range from a farm called Brooklands in Godstone.
All of their other chicken products are Red Tractor Farm Assured and are also Halal products. There are not many companies in England that can provide these fully traceable products.
PORK - Very local and sourced from several farms in West Sussex. This is a consistent and high quality, great tasting product.
BEEF - From their doorstep in Lingfield, Surrey. 2009 brings them an exciting year as over the last few months and they have been working with a local farmer in their own Village. From the start of the New Year they will be using him for for most of their beef products which they see as a very exciting time.
They are also currently using two farms in the West Country. This is not as local but a great tasting quality product carefully sourced by them and some of of our top Chefs.
GAME - They use several reputable game dealers in our local area. Most of their game is sourced around the East Grinstead and Ashdown Forest area. The main farm they use is called Upper Fairlight Farm in Holtye, West Sussex.
